Default Very technically challenged Newbie needs HELP!

Forgive me for asking something probably a 1000 others have asked but I am incredibly UNable to use technical stuff... I have a palm treo 750 and I am in the UK. I love the thing, but suddenly it refuses to allow me to hear or be heard whilst on calls unless I use the loudspeak function.
Can anyone help please? my service provider won't because they upgraded me to another phone which I hated and dont use, having got so used to my palm. They know nothing about Palms and therefore just say its broken.
    Sorry and thanks in advance!

If you are using wm5 then there is a known audio issue that was solved in the US with a patch for wm 5 att phones. It was fixed also by the wm6 upgrade. I dont knowe if that was made available by vodaphone if thats your carrier. You may nneed to try www.xda-developers.com to see if they can help/

    Default thanks anyway..

Thanks for replying, even if we can't actually get the damn things to work!
I am lost with it. Hate being without it, but can't use it permenantly on loud as my work demands confidentiality with my clients.
I am disappointed with my network provider too as they are more useless than me at sorting it
