For your Google Maps, do you need an active data feed subscription in order for it to work? I downloaded it on my computer but haven't had a chance to put it on my 750. Also, does anyone know where to get an app for an alarm system (wake up alarm, not security)? Obviously the 750 alarm is not workin for me.
hey dude, can you tell me what JB frequency tuner is?
Thanks

Hey Fastlerner, how do you add the info at the bottom about Phone specifics and your pipe smokin' picture and such?? You can PM me if you'd rather...........

No, but google can. It's almost like it has an index of these things... Someone ought to spread the word. Something like a searchable index of teh internets could be usefull.
Hello, I found the link to the other forum, and this is what I posted there:
Hi! I have a few things that I'd recommend and use myself daily(yes, I play games a lot). They are commercial, but I know that the iSS products at least have good full-feature trials that last for a week or so.
Does google maps need gps to work or just an internet connection?

I got tired of retyping it every time this came up, so feel free to follow the "favorite software picks" link in my signature. It provides descriptions as well as download links. I rehosted some stuff that can be hard to find.
JBNERY6465, the built in alarm function works well. If it's not loud enough, you can add new alarm sounds by saving low sample rate .wav files in the Windows directory. They will show in the list of selectable alarm sounds.
And yes, google maps needs a data connection to download the map for the requested location.
I just got my ATT 750 running WM6Pro 10 days ago but I have so far:
Google Maps with pseudo GPS
TeleNav Maps - free from ATT and in case I get real GPS but has nice maps and search.
IM+ multi client IM program - (transfered license from BB), supports AIM, MSN/Live, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk and MySpace IM. Only AIM IM I have found that stays connected "almost" 100% of the time. :> With Yahoo IM its good but not as good as with AIM.
RDM+ - fast and simple computer desktop controller. I can take 100% control of any compter its installed on and do anything the computer can do all from my Treo.
MS Live Search
WeatherBug - nice free weather that puts the temp in the top bar and/or a display in your today screen.
I have tried the MS Live Search on my 800W and then the Google plug-in - I stuck with the Google plug-in - easier, less clutter.
