Just tried it. Left me scratching my head for a minute becuase I KNOW I could do it in WM5. Finally figured it out.

A single-click hold-and-drag with the stylus moves the page.

A doube-click hold-and-drag will zoom in on the selected area. To zoom back out, just set it to page width or something.

Once you get it zoomed in enough to be usable, just slide the page around to read. It will hold that level of zoom as you move from page to page as well.

Not the most intuitive thing in the world, but decently functional once you figure it out. I just wish it had an option to stack the pages, or a shortcut key for "next page" instead of having to pick it from the menu.

Oh well. It's free and it works.

    UPDATE:

Played a little more with more good news.

Use your 5 way navigation keys for quick access.

The center button toggles between "move" and "zoom" mode.

In "move" mode, the dirctional keys will slide the page around.

In "zoom" mode, the up/down zooms in/out while the left and right go to next and previous page.

Quick one-handed operation without the need for the stylus. Thank goodness.

Only thing lacking now is that I can't seem to click on links inside the document or jump straight to a specific page number.

the docs i assembled in my phone:

    1) A scanned copy of my passport and birth certificate.

    2) Earthquake preparedness specific documents:

    LAFD equake preparedness
USGS equake preparedness: Southern California, Northern California

    3) Non earthquake specific disaster preparedness:Red Cross: Food and Water in an Emergency (A5055)(FEMA 477)
From Ready.gov: "Are You Ready?" Manual, Emergency Supply List
Interesting one I found in a blog: Top 100 Items to Disappear First During a National Emergency (not a pdf)

Just don't get your device lost/stolen, or protect the files somehow.

This got me to thinking, which got me to looking... Man, what's up with these software companies. Almost every single utility for stuff like this is an "eWallet" and only stores passwords, contact info, or text.

After a bit of scrounging, I came across this little peice of FREEWARE called FileBarricader 2007 Mobile. Basic, free, 256 bit file encryption, so it should work for your .pdf and pictures as well. Also supports secure file deletion so they can't be recovered once you delete them.

I haven't tried it yet, but I thought I'd share the find, while we were on the subject.
