WM6 - Is it Reversible to WM5? After waiting for WM6 to be released, what if I run the update and my phone starts to "act up". Can I revert back to WM5 (basically reset to the factory installation)?
So far, I've had my Treo since April2006 and other than spending 12 hours straight trying to get my activesync to run via bluetooth early on (running fine now and since) and lately my 2GB SD card won't work unless I eject and reinsert it, it is working great for me.
Right now, I can live with the SD issue, but if I upgrade and all of a sudden everything starts going haywire, what would/could I do? It seems after reading lots of Treo user's posts that it could be a hit or miss with the treo - what works perfectly for one person is a big headache for another on the same model. Someone at my office (she uses Verizon and a Treo 680-WM5) is on her 3rd trade in unit and she's been on the phone with tech support for everything from not being able to activesync to not having the other caller hear her, but she can hear them clearly. This week, her phone just won't ring when someone calls. Right now, her phone has the same useable functions as the free phones that are given out with new service contracts except she paid $300 for it. I just don't want to have a good running machine end up with a "broken" useless brick in my pocket.
Thanks. |
