Question Worth the Upgrade?

I'm currently in the process of trying to secure an unlocked Treo so I can get my fix after leaving Sprint and going to T-Mobile.

I had the 700wx - I don't know if I really want to downgrade onto something like the 680. Is the 750 really worth the extra cash?

Thanks!

I have the 750 I upgraded from the 650 back in February and I love my 750 I found it on ebay brand new for 383.00 including shipping and handling. I like the palm os but it has it limitations I resrsited going back to windows mobile bc of issues with active synch when I had pocket pcs. Have not had the same issues with as 4.2 and 4.5 and now wm6 upgrade. Like it even better w wm6. If you check arounbd on ebay you can find a good price on a new 750 either unlocked or get a locked one and unlock it through one of ebay sites thats what I had to do with my 650 which was supposed to be cingular but was really ATT (pre merger). No big deal. If you like wm go with the 750 if not If you want to go with palm os do the 680. Its a matter of personal preference. I suppose at some point palm will release a 755 for gsm but theres been no word on that maybe the 800 will be gsm also.

Thanks...I was torn between the Palm OS/WM issue myself. The 700wx was a great phone, but it was prone to the "blue screen of death" at times with program bugs. Not enough for me to worry about it, but occasionally irritating. My original understanding from others was that the Palm tended to be a little more stable. From what you're saying though, looks like it's six of one, half a dozen of another. I may keep my eye out on Ebay for a 750. Between selling the old Treo, and getting rid of this blasted T-Mobile Sidekick 3, I should come out ahead, even with a bigger investment in the 750.

personally, I would still go for the windows mobile....

the only disadvantage for me is, there are a lot of applications out there that is not compatible with the Palm Treo 750 because of the screen size...but I still love it, though....
