xp to vista; office '03 to '07
I read a thread on some sync issues with the calendar on vista...and noticed there was no 'resolution' so I'm following up with a different spin.
My existing laptop (xp and office 2003) has shown me the blue screen abit too often; it's an older laptop. I've just bought a new laptop that runs vista and will install office 2007 on it. 90% of my work is 'office related.'
Questions: can I use my 750 as the vehicle to transfer all my outlook data to the new laptop/new system/new outlook? If not, recommendations?
Many thanks.....in advance,
bz

I would think that once yoyu set up windows mobikle device center on the laptop and have a partnership or the WMDC equivalent if the name has changed set up then you should be able to sync everything over. Read the information about WMDC to check and make sure. There are threads about WMDC here in the 750 forum. You should be able to search for vista and figure it out.

Sure, not a problem at all. I have 2 Vista laptops and both are very stable.

Another way is to use Outllok's own export and import capability. I've moved from an XP machine with Outlook 2000 to a Vista machine first with Windows Mail (for contacts, my calender was then on a Psion 5MX organiser synched with Outlook), then to the Outlook 2002 that came "free" with my Treo 750 and then (because Outlook 2002 turned out to have incompatibilities with Vista) to Outlook 2007, all using export and import. The difficult move was Windows Mail to Outlook 2002, but this worked in the end.
But probably as others have said the Treo will make the whole process easier.
