That was the largest card available when the 755 came out. Palm hasn't gotten around to testing the newer cards yet (pretty much like their woefully out of date Bluetooth headset compatibility list), but I've read at least a few threads elsewhere about people using 6 and 8GB cards. There are apparently some glitches (Card Info reports free space incorrectly, trouble using Hotsync to transfer files if right at 4GB used) but people are using them.

I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but... What kind of data would one have to warrant a 4gb card? What would it be used for?

SDHC will not be recognized by older card readers. You also need a usb reader capable of reading SDHC to trensfer files from your computer.

Right. For some readers you may be able to get away with a firmware update, but in most cases, you'll need a new reader.

Kreth, I bought a 4MB Kingston card on your recommendation. I have tried formatting the card, to no avail. 2 separate occasions, 1 hour+ left the room, came back again and "Formatting....." Do I need to format the card to transfer files to it? Thanks in advance. Brad

Are you trying to format the card on your Treo or your PC?

Perhaps you need an SDHC card reader.
