Try formatting the card on the Treo using the Card Info utility. That's what I normally use first, then I can put it in the computer card reader and move stuff over. The format will create all of the necessary folders for the Treo/Palm.

With that utility on the Treo a message says "This card cannot be formatted". The link a few messages up that puts a Panasonic formatter on the desktop allows the card to be formatted through the reader, and the desktop itself will format the card. Any other thoughts on what is/is not occurring? Thanks again.

Just picked up a 4GB MiniSD card for my Treo at computergeeks.com for only $40.

Regarding the Treo 755p and Kingston 4gb sdhc6 card that was getting the message it could not format when using the "card info" program on the Treo...
Had originally updated from a 700p and on initial sync brought in lots of old stuff. Decided to do a hard reset and be picky about what new comes into the 750p. After hard reset, it is now formatting.
However, so far it is taking FOREVER...still says it is formatting after about an hour. Hopefully it is just a long process and is actually doing something. I'll let you know if further problems occur or it never finishes formatting.

I found a 8 GB mini SDHC card made by Patriot. Has anyone had any experience with Patriot SD cards before?

There are people who report using up to 16gb cards in their treo 755p. While I was searching around the net, I found tutorials on how to make the treo 680 work with a 8gb SDHC card. Does the same thing need to be done on the 755p in order to get it to work? Or will 8gb work right when i put it in?

Regarding the 755p and 4gb sdhc, when using the formatting on the treo itself, it was still going after a couple hours. Thus, i cancelled it, used the hc reader i purchased to read it on my computer, formatted it quickly on the computer, and now it works fine on the 755p itself.

I saw this link and the price is still reasonable! Thanks! I would like to ask how can my reader slot on laptop read my new miniSD? I contact Gateway tech support, and they said I need to get software driver for this??

Have you try your miniSD on your laptop to read in slot?
