Default 755p Email Application Options with syncing?

    Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out my options in what Email Application to use. I have a 755p through Verizon.

I currently use Versamail. However, I did use Wireless Sync for a very short time until I tried to email an attachment and couldn't. (Is that functionality available, maybe I just couldn't figure it out at the time?)

I'd like to keep my email synced between Verizon Webmail and my phone. I'm tired of having to delete email from both places. I'd also like the mail folders and filters that I have setup on webmail to automatically sync as well.

I've heard people mention Chattermail. Does it do that?

As I said, I'm trying to figure out what my options are so I would appreciate any thoughts or experiences you may have. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Jonathan

I switched back to using Wireless Sync. I found documentation on Verizon's website that confirms that you cannot attach a file to an email on a phone with the Palm OS. However, you can forward emails with attachments. The Windows OS can attach files. They plan to add this functionality to the Palm OS in the future.

I have noticed that if I sync after reading an email on my phone, it will mark it as read in the Wireless Sync Web Email. Also, If I sync after reading an email in Wireless Sync Web Email, it will mark it as read on my phone.

Frustratingly, those emails are not marked as read in Verizon's Webmail. The downside to using the Wireless Sync Web Email is that there doesn't seem to be a way to create folders to store email. That can be done however in Verizon Webmail. The inconsistency is annoying.

Anyone else run into this and find a solution?

I did not respond because phones on different carriers have different features.
I am on sprint and I can attach files to an email. I can go and create a new folder in versamail or mail. Click on inbox and click edit and you can add folders. I assume if I did this on the phone and on whatever program I am syncing with that the folders would sync as long as they are named the same. I do not sync mail so I have not used the above options.

The palm site might tell you what the 755p will do...but verizon will have to tell you what they have restricted or removed.

    Love Sprint BTW

Thanks, Plunker. I can create folders on my phone and on Verizon's Webmail. However, they don't exist in Verizon Wireless Sync Web Email. I also don't see a way to create them there.

I agree that it sounds like limitations that Verizon puts on the application. I like Verizon for their network though. They have great coverage and I've heard a lot of complaints about Sprint here.

Sure, Verizon will be adding this "feature" just as soon as they figure out how to charge for it and how much they can get away with.

Honestly, it is sad how VZW cripples phones and features just because they can.

But they do have a great network....
