Default A New User

Just got my first Treo (755), and I like it, but have a lot to learn, coming fom years of using Windows devices. There is lots of good information in this forum and I hope to slowly wade through it all, but it will take time.

I do have a quick question...

Is there more detailed documentation than the small user's guide provided?

Chris

Small user guide??? Mine came with a 1/2 thick (4X6) book with sprint..you might check with palm.com for a manual.

You can also use the user guide on the device... Under My Treo, it is more in depth... Not to mention, you just type your question and the answer appears..

Welcome aboard, and this is far easier to master than the Windows devices you've been using in the past.

Hi:

I was as surprised as plunker to hear you say the small manual. I first thought it was a joke then I thought maybe you mean the print is small.

Perhaps you are only looking at the Quick Start type guide.

In any case you can see the full and detailed 390 page user guide here at Palm's site. I am actually excited to see someone indicate they actually were looking for a manual to read! So many never really read it and never learn what their <insert device name here>, whatever it is, can truly do for them. Manuals can certainly be daunting if you let them.

I will get off my soapbox now....and return you to the regularly scheduled forum, already in progress.

I hope this helps...

I'll try that device-help, as well, but I like going through the manual to get a good idea of what the unit can do.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Although everyone told me the device has good on-line help, I still like going through the manual.

Personally, if you bought it new from a phone store and there was not a manual in the box, I would take the box back and tell them you want a manual. As stated, the thing weighs at least 3 lbs!! it's nice and thick and if you paid for it, you should get it. Good luck.

When I had my 650.. I had to look at it on line, then I put it on a flash drive and took it to kinkos to copy... If I'm not mistaken it's nearly 200 pages.

The one that came in the box is pretty good, but not nearly as in depth as the one on line... The one in the device, is a fine idea for that quick question...
