Default A very happy story!!!

Ok so my story starts out by me getting a motorola q... I go to wireless toys(sprint authorized dealer) i pay 200 for the phone and 150 for a deposit(because im 18 with not credit)...SO i left the store 2 weeks ago short 371.16 with a motorola q. So i get home and it doesnt charge...go figure...so i go to this service center because i have insurance and i get a brand new q.
So i enjoy it for a week and than it begins to turn off randomly. So i go back to the store where i got it and i asked for an exchange or to cancel my service..This sprint by the way. THey tell me that they can not change or cancel because the phone has been replaced and that they can't say its defective because the phone has a different esn number...SO i go home and complain to customer service and they tell me that i can either get another q or a blackberry 7130 or 81xx. I told them no thank you. She asks what kind of phone i like and i said the treo 700p looks pretty cool. The woman told me that i could get it for the difference of the q and it. I told her that it didn't seem like a good investment to waste another 180 dollars on a phone. SHe then told me about the treo 755p and that it would be 130 dollars, so i told her that i would do that. But to mysurprise she said that i would get my rebate back and that it would actually cancel the 130 dollars.

Summarized version:
I got 2 q's, they suck. Complained a little and got a brand new blue 755p for free basically. So im happy and i got a great phone. Sorry for the long story, i am just so happy.

Good story and glad to hear that Sprint was able to extend that offer to you.

Almost the same thing happend to me! I've been through 2 moto Qs and they suck...I traded for the Treo 755...I love it. I dunno how the rebate will go..but I don't mind paying a bit more for a better phone.

Default from Q to 755p

I too went through several Qs with Sprint before they got sick of seeing me and told me I could replace it with any model they offered. I picked the 755p as i was familer with palm from my treo 600 and it had just arrived in stores. I havent had a probelm since.

Q was way buggy, and I had the latest updates etc... Anyway I didnt have to pay for the 755p and a few weeks later the rebate check for the Q finally arrived ($350!), so I was pleased.

About 2 months ago, my son went swimming with his gameboy in his pocket. We let it dry several days and found it to be toast. Now I have considered trying a new battery, but we have already gotten him a replacement DS for his birthday last month.

I tried the gameboy again this past weekend (after reading this post) and it is still toast; but I took the game cartridge and tried it in his DS -- that worked! It is not as good as if I had found that the gameboy worked after all this time, but those games are about $40 and that (gameboy) game was his favorite.

Thanks for bring this back to my todo list!
