| Advice Sending Photo Enclosures in Sync? Hey Treo Fans,
I've become pretty well introduced to my new 755p, but I'm having trouble with one function - I need to be able to enclose photos in emails, ideally via Sync. (I'm using sync with my Gmail.) No luck with that - I'm not seeing an option in the Compose screen to include a photo. I know there must be a way to do it - but I'm stumped.
Thought I might be able to do it while actually online, but I am not seeing an option to enclose a photo in Google Mobile Gmail either. Soooo, it's a big problem - A lot of the reason for the Treo was moblie blogging from remote locations.
(Sending the image in a text message via the envelope option on the pic screen is not an option - has to be in an email, as opposed to a text message.)
I love the thing so far, just gotta figure this out. Any advice?

| If you go to "Pics & Videos" to view the folder where the picture is stored do you see an envelope down in the lower right corner? If so if you click on that and follow the instructions and you can send a picture via email if you have mail (Versamail or equivelent) setup on your phone. Doubt if this will work if you are using web based (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) email.

| Ahh. So maybe I need to download Versa. I'd just been using gmail with sync. (The envelope is there, but not an email option. Just an option to send it via msg.) Quote:

| So I don't send you down a blind alley my carrier is Alltel and I don't know if that makes a difference. One feature you have and I don't is sending pics attached to a txt message. Alltel decided that was a feature they didn't want its users to have.

| In versamail you open a new message insert text then hit menu, options, attachment, select pics and video, then the pic. The 755p did not come with versamail or an email program???

| Plunker - There is no "attachments" under the options pulldown in my new email window.
(Rant follows.)
Ahhhhhh! After downloading Versa and no new icon appearing, I spent an hour an a half (literally) on the phone on hold and with a Verizon "tech." No answers. First, I was told that the general Sync and Versa are the same thing. (I suspect they are not.) And then, I was told that the paperclip attachment icon "should" be at the top of my new email field. (It simply isn't there, and there's nothing under options either.) I honestly think this thing may not have Versa on it. So, oddly enough, I have no way to attach attachments to my emails, and Verizon has no answers.
Crap. I am seriously considering sending this thing back tomorrow and dumping the data plan. Argh! I really like the Treo too!

| Nope. The only things under the "Options" menu in a new email window are "Preferences," "Ready Text," and "Font." Thanks for the suggestion though. Quote:

| Some times carriers change or limit features on phones. I can't imagine verizon doing this. Maybe a verizon user can help you. Maybe repost under carriers (verizon) for help....you said verizon said you should have the option I would go back to the verizon store and verify that another treo 755p has that option then return yours.
Was your phone new? could someone have changed the software? Maybe a hard reset will correct your problem? If you do one be sure to back up or sync to save your data..

| Why don't you download the trial version of ChatterEmail and see if you can attach a photo with that. That is the email software that I use (with my gmail account) and it is very easy to set up and to attach photos and documents. I have attached as many as 4 photos to one email and it worked perfectly. Plus on the 755 with an unlimited data plan, you can use ChatterEmail to give you true push email, and be alerted instantly of new mail, if you want that.
But you truly should have Versamail installed on that thing, I believe it is on all 755's. But I found this thread on another forum where someone using a Verizon 755 downloaded a newer version of Versamail intended for the Centro and it works great with their gmail account. Perhaps try that? http://forum.treonauts.com/palm-smar...ace-gmail.html http://www.palm.com/us/support/mobil...samail407.html
