i searched but came up with nothing. My treo is not only getting my new mail but also downloading my sent mail as well. how do i stop that? i just want what comes to my inbox @ gmail

The quick answer to your issue is that you can't stop it, we G users understand what you want and agree. I contacted G directly regarding this matter a couple of years ago and their response (YES they actually did respond) was that their system is doing what it's supposed to.

Realistically you're only shot would be to try and find a 3rd party program that offers this sort of on-board filtering for the device... I don't have any suggestions because I have not personally used anything but the Versamail since it does everything I need it to.

Take a look at ChatterEmail and GMail push - gets away from that problem.
