Default *SOLVED* Anyone run slingplayer Mobile, I need help!

I just installed the trial version of Slingplayer Mobile and the first time I used it, it worked fine. So I am guessing that I can access my slingplayer on the internet. But then I was in the process of changing the channel and the video stopped and the screen went black. Since the everytime I try to view my slingbox, I get an error screen that says "it cannot connect to slingfinder, to check that I have the correct slingfinder ID or have remote viewing activated. I checked the slingfinder ID 17 times, it is correct and I do have remote viewing activated, as I was able to watch TV for at least 10 minutes before I tried to change the channel and all this happened.

Has this happened to anyone else and can you give some suggestions. I connect using the slingfinder ID, not the IP address and I do have the correct password installed.

Viewing my slingbox on my laptop while on my home network, it works flawlessly.

*SOLVED* I reset the Slingbox and rebooted my router and now the Slingplayer Mobile work fine. We even watched TV this weekend when we went out of town!! :laugh3:

Hi Chris is sure does; but now I finally received my Netgear Powerline adapters which I planned to use permanently. I had only hardwired the slingbox to my router using a 50' phone cord :tounge: just for the weekend to test it out. I plugged the powerline adapters in my wall near the router and the other one near the slingbox in the other room, and all lights come on fine, but the network does not see the slingbox; the network light on the SB just blinks. funny thing is, I walked around the house with the SB and the one powerline adapter and plugged it into 5 other outlets throughout our house and the SB network light was solid!! But I only have the Comcast cable in our bedroom, so must use it in there. We are thinking that maybe the outlets in our bedroom are older, they are those stupid childproof outlets that you need to twist the top plate of to line up the slots in the plugs!! Exasperating using those, but those are the ones where the network light is not working on the SB. So I hope I can get this all worked out, as that little taste of Slingbox was so addicting.

*SOLVED AGAIN* for some reason the wall outlets in the one bedroom are not conducting the network at all; so we pulled the Comcast cable into our spare bedroom next door and plugged the powerline adapter into the wall, hooked up the Slingbox to it - and it hopped onto the network!! It is working really well, nice clear image on our laptops and on my Treo!! Awesome

Forgive me for asking... However, I've never heard of this. Is this something I need to have cable for... Or is there a service I can purchase for use on my laptop?

Regarding the service not working in the one room... The outlets wouldn't have anything to do with it. Are these rooms on the same circuit?
All Avatar photos taken from the cab of a moving Freightliner Century Classic, my office if you will. Enjoy!

I got it all worked out, and these powerline adapters work all over the house, they don't need to be on the same circuit. I have the slingbox in our guest bedroom hooked up to our spare Cable box and TV and the router is in my office, both are hooked up by ethernet cable to the powerline adapters - and the Slingbox has internet connectivity!! It is pretty amazing. Plus it is really awesome looking on the 755, I sneak in a show at work sometimes on my break, very cool.

It is very typical problem. It cannot solve by unknown person. You should suggest mobile mechanic. In this forum nobody can suggest about this problem.
Cellular phones are available in three different types. The first type is Cheap Mobile Phones, second is transportable and last is portable phone.
