Bluetooth Synch Help!

I have a 64bit computer running vista so i went out and got a usb device so i could synch my phone and update the programming and back everything up. So i tried to follow the instructions on the phone about making a serial port and such but it says that it cannot connect because the port is in use by another application. Im really confused about how to make this work, any help is appreciated!!

i got the hotsynch to work but i cant get the new programming to install which is the reason i did all this. can programming be installed via bluetooth or is that not possible

Sure it can. I never had lots of luck with the Palm thing and ended up using PilotInstall. After you get the devices paired, did you check the hot sync manager to make sure it was properly enabled?

ya i got the hotsynch to work but i just brought the new software on a flash drive over to my grandmas who has a 32 bit computer and installed it there. the whole software install program wouldnt even recognize my phone was connected with the bluetooth but thanks for the help
