It's extremely small and comfortable, and as I work on computer systems in data centers where it can be loud, customers that have complained about background noise while using other headsets don't complain about this one. The only drawback is the rated 4 hour talk time, though as often as I'm on the phone I've yet to run out of juice.
Your remarks about your WEP200 are very interesting and helpful to me. I am having terrible problems with the Aliph Jawbone and my 755P. The sound quality and noise suppression on the Jawbone are excellent, but it won't stay connected. It disconnects and reconnects (sometimes reconnects) throughout the day, sometimes continually disconnecting and reconnecting 5 to 10 times in just a few minutes. This is intolerably annoying. I've tried the Jabra BT5020 which stays connected most of the time, but the sound quality, espescially outgoing is not great.
I looked at the reviews and specs on the WEP200. It got quite good voice quality ratings inspite of not having any electronic noise reduction circuitry. Curious. Your comments seem to confirm this. Have you tried it in a restaurant or other noisy environments? I am real pleased with the small size of the WEP200 and if it fits me as well as yours fits you, it sounds like an ideal selection for the 755P. You are using it with a 755P? And it really does stay connected? One final question. When the unit is on standby on your ear, are there any steady or flashing lights? I prefer no light displays.

Doug,
I use it in very loud computer data centers, where there are hundreds of computer systems running, right along with the many cabinet fans to keep them cool, as well as AC blowers. In other words, a very noisy environment. Thus far, customers have not complained when I use this device in these environments. As I said, the only downside to the Samsung has been only 4 hour talk time. I have run out of juice on two occasions. That's not bad though since I've used it for about 7 or 8 months now. I have also used it with both the 700p and the 755p. It would disconnect after several hours on the 700p, but then, what headset wouldn't. As for the 755p, it stayed connected. I must note though that because I was so upset with how Palm handled the 700p issues, I now use the HTC Mogul from Sprint. Very happy with it.
As for lights, yes, the Samsung has the flashing blue light. I haven't seen any headsets that don't use some variant of this. I think it is so others may see that you are on bluetooth, when you are walking around seemingly talking to yourself! :laugh3:

The headset is constantly disconnecting, I hear that low toned beep signaling a disconnect every so often. Sometimes, it connects on its own, but more often than not, I have to manually connect it by going into my TRUSTED DEVICES menu. I called plantronics, and they stated that this was a known issue with the 755p, and that Palm was aware of this issue. I do not see any info out on the web regarding this, and I chatted with a palm agent (whic, thus far, them f00ls have been worthless), and all they did was send me to a link that lists "compatible" BT Headsets, and mentioned nothing else. Here is the link for those interested:

I have tried a jabra that is listed as "compatible" and it was behaving the same as the plantronics. Anyone else have any issues with BT Headsets? Can you let me know which one(s) you guys are using with NO problems? One other problem I noticed, was that I cant put my phone in my pocket while on a phone call, it begins to get static(y). Any ideas?
---On my most recent jaunt to Miami this past weekend, I was told to use the Plantronics Explorer 320 for my BT, relatively inexpensive, wow is all i have to say, that this is by far the best BT for the 755p as of yet, I have tried numerous BT's, this has matched up to the best of them! Thought I would let you:cool: know!

I just bought a Treo 755p thru Sprint and shopping now for a bluetooth headset. Did you ever resolve problems with your current headset or did you buy another? Can you let me know what BT headset you wound up using?
For anyone who wishes to reply:
I tried using Plantronics 320 and while it worked OK at first, it would loose connectivity after a few minutes of not being in use and if I made a call, initiated from the 755p device itself, the bluetooth headset would not automatically come on -- I had to turn it back on. Plus this headset was too big for my ears.
I am looking for a device that will not periodically disconnect or that will at least fit my ears.
I started looking online at the Jabra BT350 or Jabra JX10, but also saw some reviews onhow nice the Jawbone headset is. Any suggestions on what BT headset I should get?

How about post #2?
That's what I'm going to try.
The Plantronics 640 & 645 both disconnect frequently.
The Motorola h5 is crap, I wont even try the h9.

I'm also having connection issues with my MINI Cooper. Pairs fine, then loads the phone book, and every 10 minutes, loads it again. If I am on a long call, I can hear it dropping out every few minutes, and re-connecting.
I am having the same issue with my phone. If I am on a call longer than 10 minutes, it starts the incessant beeping. Trying to connect the bluetooth to a phantom connection. Whether I am in my car (that I can connect to with no problems), or in a store..house..etc. This is so annoying, I have taken the phone back to sprint 4 times. And received 4 new phones. They are all doing the same thing. Sprint claims that I have loaded some infected software, but I transferred everything from my 650 which was working fine. I did as they requested and renamed my backup file and preformed a hard reset on my 4th new phone. It was doing it again today. It also went (while I was talking) into my bejeweled, calendar, bluetooth and text all while on the same call. Sprint says this is not a known issue with this phone and refuses to upgrade me to the 800. I guess I will have to keep going in... wasting their time and money so they can give me another phone that wastes my time...!!! I have had a palm for 6 years and have never run into anything as exasperating as this before!! Ridiculous!! Thank you for confirming that it is not something that I am doing wrong!!

It seems that your ear touches the bluetooth icon on the top of the screen, making it think you want to bring the bluetooth application up. It can be helped by holding the phone carefully on your ear, but it is a PITA to have to put up with it.
