Default BT Problems anyone?

Hello all, I have purchased a PLANTRONICS DISCOVERY 650E BT Headset for my Sprint serviced 755p. The headset is constantly disconnecting, I hear that low toned beep signaling a disconnect every so often. Sometimes, it connects on its own, but more often than not, I have to manually connect it by going into my TRUSTED DEVICES menu. I called plantronics, and they stated that this was a known issue with the 755p, and that Palm was aware of this issue. I do not see any info out on the web regarding this, and I chatted with a palm agent (whic, thus far, them f00ls have been worthless), and all they did was send me to a link that lists "compatible" BT Headsets, and mentioned nothing else. Here is the link for those interested:

http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBC...4829)#headsets

I have tried a jabra that is listed as "compatible" and it was behaving the same as the plantronics. Anyone else have any issues with BT Headsets? Can you let me know which one(s) you guys are using with NO problems? One other problem I noticed, was that I cant put my phone in my pocket while on a phone call, it begins to get static(y). Any ideas?

I use the Samsung WEP200. It's extremely small and comfortable, and as I work on computer systems in data centers where it can be loud, customers that have complained about background noise while using other headsets don't complain about this one. The only drawback is the rated 4 hour talk time, though as often as I'm on the phone I've yet to run out of juice.

Omendez,

I'm having the same problems.... I purchased a Parrot Mini Kit bluetooth speakerphone and every 2 minutes (or so) it would have to reconnect to the phone. I would hear a beep from the Parrot Speakerphone everytime. For some reason it disconnects when bluetooth is on but not in use. I also have the Jabro JX10 and which has not given me any problems though i wish the volume can go higher.

Let me ask you a question... When using your phone on a call, does the bluetooth authorization come on for you automatically? Meaning it's asking to whether you want to turn on your bluetooth or not.

hey felix, thanks for the info....to answer your question, when i had my bluetooth earpiece...sometimes it would stay connected for a whole day, more times than not, it would disconnect after a few minutes. After a disconnect, if a call would come in...it would SOMETIMES reconnect on its own and allow me to pick the call up.....but most of the time I would have a hellacious time trying to get the darn thing to reconnect...in the end...it was way more trouble than its worth to keep the stupid thing connected, so i have gotten rid of the plantronics piece...im afraid to buy another one because of these problems....

Dang that was fast reply! I know what you mean, that's why i returned the Parrot Speakerphone. I say just by another ear piece and return the ear piece if the Treo still gives you problems... What about my second question.. does the bluetooth authorization come on randomly when on phone call?

It's the screen when you push Bluetooth.... It says whether to turn on or off bluetooth then it says the device name under it.... It's that screen, know what i mean? It comes on randomly for me sometimes when i'm on a phone call....

Mine comes up randomly, when on a call, as well. Kinda strange.

I'm also having connection issues with my MINI Cooper. Pairs fine, then loads the phone book, and every 10 minutes, loads it again. If I am on a long call, I can hear it dropping out every few minutes, and re-connecting.
