Deleting duplicate Outlook records

Well, I just got a new laptop and saved my Outlook records from my old laptop to a .pst file so that I could import it to Outlook on my new laptop. Unfortunately I did a Palm hotsync first which put my PIM info into Outlook. Not thinking I guess, I then went and imported this .pst file into Outlook from my other laptop. Now I have lovely duplicate records for everything :tounge:.

I found this neat app that solves that for Outlook, I will install and give it a whirl when I get home today:

I just installed this tiny free program and used it, within seconds it deleted over 300 duplicate Outlook records from calendar and contacts. This is an awesome program.

Hey dollface:

Nice find. I am going to have to try this on the office PC as there are many dupes there. The only negative I found posted by users is repeated registartion, over and over. Did you find that or did you use it only once?

I also see there is a version 2, which is now shareware instead of freeware. It supposedly does subfolders now.

Is your Addy book extensive or simple? Folders and subfolders and Groups or just individuals?

Steve, I only used it once so far, I did have to register it before using and they send you a registration key that you insert in the program.

In my address book, I have Personal and Business groups, that is all, pretty simple.

After I got all the dupes deleted in Outlook, I set the conduits for Calendar and Contacts in hotsync to PC overwrites Handheld and did a hotsync; it fixed all the dupes on my Palm.

That looks good, but it's $29.95, for the few times I need a program like this, I wanted freeware. Are you by any chance the software developer for it?
