Question Deleting Locked Ringtones And ...

Just got a Treo 755p from Sprint and wanted to know how I can unlock ringtones so that I could delete them. Also, why is it that at the lowest volume, all the ringtones play very loudly.

I don't believe you can delete locked files unless you hack into the device. Not sure why you want to delete them they don't take up much room.

Never have heard anyone complain about ringing to loudly. If you use a case it should not be loud. One of the third party apps may be able to decrease the volume for you.

I hope you get a better response to your post.....

Are you speaking of the ring tones located in the AUDIO folder in the main device RAM?

Go to Preferences - Sounds & Alerts, at the bottom click Manage, highlight the ringtone you want to delete and at the bottom click Details, then click Delete.

I think he is asking about the tones with the lock next to them when you are in manage tones. It will not let you delete them...

You can delete those with a file browser all you want and a reset brings them right back. I gave up on them due to lack of interest. Ben
