At first I thought it was because I was at work and do not have a strong signal there but I watched it tonight while I was at home with a strong signal and it did it again then when i press "OK" to clear the error message it goes to the palm screen freaks out for a minute then everything is fine does anyone know how to fix this or what the problem is???????

    Hi:

You are not alone. Take a look at this recent thread. I am not sure if that user ever resolved the issue though as they never posted a follow-up.

You might want to read through, see if anything helps and possibly then call your carrier or shoot an email out to Palm.

    Let us know what happens.....

It's the mypalm app. I've posted this before... I drive at night, and trust me, at around 2am eastern standard time it updates... What it's updating I don't know. I do know that if the battery is less than 40% or it can't get a good data signal, it will show that it didn't update with the error message

You can try turning off the AutoUpdate for MyTreo to see if that resolves the issue; but on another forum there are several people posting very recently about the exact issue and MyTreo or On Demand auto updates were not the culprit. Strangely, they are all with Sprint; I suggested that they call Sprint and have their data connection rewritten. Here is the other thread: click here

You mention that all users are with Sprint. Perhaps they have their Vison set to "Ask before conntecting to the Internet". If an attempt is made to connect to the Internet and you're not there to answer the prompt the update will fail with ANY program.

Check your settings in Preferences under Network. Push the Menu button and select Preferences (again) and then make sure "Ask before connecting to the Internet" is NOT checked.

This may not work for everyone, but it fixed my issues with updates failing in ther midd of the night.

The only reason I say this is everytime I have it happen to me, it defaults to that... So I can only guess that's what it is...
