System Tools or Repair First Treo...755 with spring

Hey guys
Just bought my very first treo and its the 755 with sprint. I originally had the samsung ace but decided if im paying 200 for a phone I mind as well get one that does more. After playing with it for a while, I was completely overwhelmed by how much it actually does but Im getting use to it. Now there's just a few things that were bothering me and was wondering if anyone could help me out??

First of all, when I got it I thought it was one of those windows based pdas. Soon found out I was wrong. (I know should of did my research) But I seen that 750 has it, and I was wondering if anyone knew if sprint was gonna carry it?? If not is there anyway to put windows onto the 755? Cuz I really hate the whole interface and the way it looks, but its suttin I'll live with if needed.Or even a website to change the skin to something more decent? Or how to put a photo as the wallpaper for the main screen where all the apps are?

Also, I seem to be having a problem retrieving my mail from my yahoo account through this Versamail. It wont retrieve my mail saying my password/username is incorrect when I know it is. Does anyone know what's up with that??

My last question may sound kind of dumb but is there a way to shut the whole device off all together?? Or is it that when I turn the phone off, the battery life is being saved that way??

Anywho any response would be greatly appreciated.

Sprint has the 700wx for windows. I do not believe you can change operating systems on the treos. I believe the advantage of a windows based system is you can use a wifi card but the palm system is really cool and has alot of apps that are available. My 755 is on the way but if it is like the 650 no you do not shut it off. You can turn off the phone but the pda stays on or in sleep mode.

You can download pics or take pics and use for wallpaper. Should have an app pics and videos (something like that) just select a pic and press menu and you should have an option to make it your wallpaper/background.

Give the palm system a chance it is really neat. If you search the faq or wiki here on this site there are tips with versamail and the different carriers. There should be a quick tour or a tutoral in your apps. Some web based emails required an upgrade or paid account to work with mobile phones.

If you are going to use your yahoo mail on it, I found the best way to get it is with the sprint mobile mail. You can set up google, yahoo, and a host of others.

As for the windows os. When I was at the Sprint store getting my Moto Q, replaced after having it a week... there was a guy there, trying to get his switched... I overheard the girl say that they can do it from one to the other, but they can't put it back again... Not sure which way he was going with it from palm to windows..or visa versa.

Long story short, I couldn't wait to get back to the Palm, with the Palm OS... I'm not sure if it was the Q or the Windows mobile.. but Osama's trac phone is smarter than the Q...
