| Hello, my first time.. 755 or BB8830? I have a 2yr old treo 650 that has had its problems but still simple to use, I am going to upgrade and confused which way to go. I like the calendar on my 650, is this the same on the 755? I am on with sprint, what other features does it have that the 650 does not. I am getting conflicting info from sales people. Thanks very much!!! |

| By and large it's the same as the 650, with some improvements to size, not much... and of course it has the internal antenna. I had the 650, and it doesn't appear to me to have much more than a new style... There may be some other improvements... but I can't really come up with any off the top of my head... Quote:

| Hi:
I still have a 650, but isn't there a BIG difference in the available memory? I believe the 755 has 128mb (user accessible 62) vs 32mb (23 user accessible) in the 650.
I also think the 755 can make use of the higher speed networks that the 650 isn't capable of. I do believe they use the same processor though.
Yeah, I guess there isn't much difference.
You really should do a Google search to research all of the differences. I am guessing there will be a few more. Salespeople are usually the absolute worst at knowing details (that does NOT mean all salespeople). They might have to spend time reading all those pesky brochures and spec sheets and then actually use the devices!!! Way too time consuming.

| The big difference as pointed out by Steve - more memory, more stable, overall a much better device. Ben

| If you want a device that can handle e-mail, go with the Crackberry. If you'd like a device that can do much more, go with the Treo.

| And the great thing about email on the Palm - with ChatterEmail, I get my email pushed to me much faster than those in the company using Blackberry devices. Ben

| Thanks all. Is the 755 more stable than the 650 and is there a better program to handle personal and business e-mail? |

| Without a doubt, the 755 is more stable than the 650. As for email, the big guy on the block is ChatterEmail; it handels IMAP push and POP.
The Centro is also a viable candidate.

| ChatterEmail has many capabilities, one of them is being online constantly with your email server and pushing instantly, any new emails, into your Chatter inbox and alerting you (via flashing LED, or sound alert or screen popup) You can also choose to leave it Offline and sync when you want, or to Quicksync at any chosen minutes that you choose (like every 5 minutes, 7 minutes, etc) It handles both POP3 and IMAP and I use it with my gmail account in the IMAP mode. You merely choose gmail IMAP among the many selections in the account setup, and it inserts all the configurations for you. It is super easy. There are some fine tuning things you can do to make it more personal but it is very reliable and in Push mode, you still have some battery left at the end of the day.
Also, on a 755, you get Google Maps and Pocket Tunes standard edition as native applications............... you have to install them on the 650.
