The problem is this: Whenever I hook the hotsync cable (provided it's connected the computer) into the device, the device resets. I've tried different ports and different cables. I've tried reinstalling palm desktop, "repairing" the desktop, and hard resetting the 755. Now I can't even use the data export feature (at one point everything worked, then I lost the ability to sync--it was merely ignored, then I lost the ability to connect in any way) Bluetooth managed one connection but no more. Also, I used to remember that on the 650, when you went to set up you would see a list of ports--here that list is blank though it will tell me 1, 3 or 23 (these are the only three it ever mentions in the pop up box) are unavailable. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance |
The device almost certainly needs a hard reset, seems to me like considerable software corruption. Keep in mind this will whipe out all of your data and reset the device back to factory settings (the phone will still be programmed of course.
