hotsync error messages

Just transferred from 650 to 755p. Error messages at hotsync:
under Media; "local category 'Palm' has been deleted. Under Calendar: "some handheld records were not copied to your PC. Your computer may be full or you may have reached the maximum allowed records on the desktop. To correct this situation, delete some records and hotsync again. Desktop=9460, Handheld=9422. The exact same message is under Contacets with the number of records being Desktop=298, Handheld=297. The exact same message is also under tasks with Desktop=55, Handhel=53. I don't think that it is actually the number of records but rather an underlying problem. FYI: I did the original hot sync without any 3rd party applications.

Help - I've called Palm 3x and got disconnected 3x. Very frustrating.

Take a look here: http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=89276 and look closely at the part concerning the desktop version release.

You can also go to the Palm website and execute a search with something like "computer may be full or you may have reached" and look at what pops up.

One question, did you install the Palm Desktop on the installation CD that came with the 755, over top of the old Palm Desktop for the 650 that was on your computer? That is necessary to do, before you do your first hotsync; they are different desktops.
