Instanting messaging

I am having trouble with aim..i keep getting a message that my screen name or password is invalid .I get a error code of 409 .

Can anyone help me please

This is a common complaint with all AIM users. This is a problem that AOL/Sprint-Nextel/ and Palm are aware of. As of now there is no E.T.A as to when the fix will be in place but it is being worked on.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but that is the best information I can give you at this time.

I have gotten that message before, about a month ago. I did come across, I believe on here (Everything Treo Forum) that what you can do is delete the file for instant messaging, reinstall and it should be fixed for now, or at least until we get an update. I hope this works!:cool:

The above fix mentioned by Farley55 is not a reliable one, as the IM application itself is not a robust one. A change in applications will provide better results, though the better applications are for the most part commercial applications.
