Question Is Centro worth it, or 755 is better? Quick Question.

My friend has a 755 and he's willing to sell it to me for alittle over $400 slightly used, but I can get a Centro for $400 Brand New from Sprint. Is a Centro worth getting at all? Because i'm planning on purchasing either phone tomorrow. I currently have a 700p, so its time for me to upgrade

Any opinion/answers are welcomed! Reply asap. Thanks

P.S: Here goes picture comparisons of the Centro: http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/sizemodo/...rve-309207.php

I dont think the Centro -755p has anything different other than the size, color & SD card.

Well I had the Centro for 2 days and returned it for the 755P. the Centro just didn't feel right in my hands. The 755 feels soooooo much better and it's easier to type on IMO. On the other hand, my wife loves her Centro! Nothing against Centro owners but it just felt "cheap" to me.

Neither will be a major upgrade from the 700P. The main difference is going to be the form factor. The Centro is slightly smaller than the 755P in all dimensions. If you have big hands like I do, this is bad.

My friend was excited about the Centro until he got one to use for a day. He's now getting a 755p.

The Centro, is more or less an entry level pda, where as the 755 more advanced. Is it going to be much better than the 700, I'm not sure. I do know that the size of the 755 is smaller than the 650 I had before, so that's a plus in and of it's self. The Treo, has a palm os... which is in my opinion far better than the windows operating system. My self, if it were me, I'd go with the 755... However, I would be curious to know why your friend is selling a slightly used Treo.

Default get the 755p

Unless you are a sorority girl, go for the 755p. I used one for two days as well, the battery has a short life, keyboard is small, i comes in pretty colors...
The only good thing is that is a PALM. I have used every treo even the i500, which until the 755 was my favorite Palm based phone.

Default 755P vs Centro

Ask yourself a couple of questions before you decide.

What size gloves do you wear? In my opinion (I wear large) if you wear medium or large you will like to 755P keyboard better.

Do you wear glasses? To me (54 yrs old) the larger screen was a necessity.

I've had Palms since the beginning and love them. I recently upgraded from a Treo 600 to a 755P. Its great! I just have to overcome the hotsync problem and it'll be perfect.

Have fun!
