Does anyone know why my memory card reader nor my PC memory card slot will rercognize my card when i put it in the card slot?

i purchased the memory card from newegg tha kreth had suggested. my PC will recognize it if i mess with it for a long time but it wont pop up automatically like my 2g sd card will.

I had the same problem using my Belkin 15-in-1 card reader ... it's about three years old - I figured it came around before the HC standard for SD cards. I picked up a nice ScanDisk MobileMate SD+ (looks like a thumb drive) and it works just fine.

What hoffnet said. Both are probably older than the SDHC standard. You may be able to get away with a firmware update for the reader or card slot, but it most cases you'll need to upgrade to newer hardware.

Thanks guys, I actually went and picked up a sandisk mini SDHC reader for 15 bucks. Works great.

I have the same card. What I did was downloaded "card reader" recomended by another user from this site (thanks). I think its $10. It works awesome!!!!! Plug in your phone or use bt. Click enable and viola! Your PC will sees your treo as another drive. Just cut and paste or copy over to it. No need to remove card from treo which is less physical wear on the card as well. Just checked. Clicked on my computer and it shows up as Removable Disk (F: ). Wish I would of found this earlier!! Take the card reader back if you can!!! Oh yeah, its not computer specific. Once you download it, you can use it on any computer! Usually, your card read stays plugged up to one computer.
