Long distance and pauses
I read elsewhere and entered my long distance in a quick tab with the added digits. Everything works until the very end when the end of the code is not recognized and I am asked to enter in my code again - 16 digits. I have tried putting a break after the code entry but it makes no difference.
Help would be appreciated... or how did others solve the problems of extra digits?

You need to add multiple breaks (commas) to increase the delay until your system is ready for the tones.

The tones are entered and recognized. It's to bring the system, after the tones have been entered, to be ready for the manual entry of the number that I am trying to reach that is the problem.

Not sure I understand what you are trying to do...sorry

I can enter the extra pauses and password fine; it's at the end when the "operator" would say, "please enter your desired number"" that I have a problem... instead the message is "please re-enter your password"... the sytsem is not recognizing the end of my digiits and allowing me to manually enter the long distance number that I am calling.

This is quite confusing. Is there a symbol like # you are supposed to enter after the password to tell the system you are done? You say the password is entered fine, but is it possible you need additional pauses before the password entry begins? Maybe that is why the system doesn't recognize it, it isn't getting the full number, maybe cutting off the first digit because the entry is starting too fast?
Why else would it ask you to reenter it? You say it the entry is fine, but apparently it is not.
Unless I am missing something....Which is entirely possible.

Thank you. I added more pauses and it now works.

Must not have believed my first post????
Steve good point with the (#) sign is required on some systems. Mine included.

Hi plunker:
How's the new (by now not so new?) toy? You must have settled in since I see you all over the place offering help, and excellent help at that!! For the first while you got the phone you seemed to have more and more questions, but those appear to have disappeared.
Your Treo must be treating you well and you must have it set up pretty much the way you like. I am happy for you if it is meeting or exceeding your expectations.
It's nice when technology cooperates, eh?
