| Necessity of Screen Protectors? Hi, I'm using a screen protector, but it's gotten pretty smudgy in just a few days, and it also lessens the accuracy of my touching. I was wondering if it would be allright to just leave the screen as is, without the screen protector. Does dust get under the screen easily? Does the screen scratch permanently pretty easily? Or is the Treo screen built to last?
I take pretty good care of my electronics and really want to ditch the screen protector, but not if there is substantial risk for screen damage. Any advice? |

| Personally, I wouldn't go without one, but I have the occasional case of the dropsies. I posted a long time ago about my "Incredible Flying Treo."

| A good case, probably not. If you are a pocket warrior, then yes. If you work in a dirty environment, then yes - scratches from dirt are common.

| Same here. When I removed this last protector, the dirt just plain bad and there are a couple of places that refuse to clean.

| I have had a protector on since day 1. There is a little scratch on it, but you can only see it when the Treo is off. Its been there two years. I pocket about half the time. So to answer you question-I think they are important to avoid damage.

| Screen Protector I use my Treo 755p in the military so a screen protector is a must.
Even if I wasn't using it in a military environment, I would still use a protector. Risking damage to the screen just isn't worth it in my opinion. |

| I'm a truck driver, I have never used a screen protector, and have dropped the phone from the cab of the truck to ground... and have never had any issues, not even a scratch... At the moment, and for now, I have a Moto Q...same thing I've never damaged the screen... However the Q is on the market place and I'm coming back! |
