  |  Odd behavior Every so often I have to pull my battery out to reset my 755p because it won't power off. Any ideas why? Also, last night, I could receive calls and make calls, but could never hear anything. Neither side could hear. I used a BT headset, wired headset, and no headset to no avail. I had to pull the battery out and put back in to reset. This behavior happens every week or so. Sounds like Palm needs an update.

| Hey David, This is just a shot in the dark, but did you do a straight backup and restore when you moved to the 755P? I'm wondering if VolumeCare or something similar is causing issues.

I did do that initially and it totally screwed up the BT. It wouldn't pair up with anything. So I ended going through a series of hard resets until I had decided that I need to do a selective restore of the contacts, calendar, and the other user databases. I didn't restore applications, choosing to reinstall them and register them with my codes. I don't have volumecare. However, it did it to me this morning. Other times it has done it, it seems that the phone had gotten busy with calls, voice mail, and text messaging coming in rapid succession, following that, it simply won't turn off. I also notice if I don't purge my text messages that the phone gets sluggish. Another thing.... I HATE the batter life of this phone! I guess I can get about 2 hours talk time on it with BT before I have to charge it. It sucks ( have seen the SHUTDOWN countdown several times LOL). I have to get a spare battery. Other than the battery issue and not turning off sometimes, I am very happy with it.

| Good to know about purging text messages. I have a friend that has tones of them, he dosent seem to have any problems. Is your email set to sync every so often? That may drain the battery too. |

| I'd take it to a repair center if you have one nearby. You should still have warranty coverage. Let them troubleshoot it.
