Default Problems with Incoming contacts display?

I havent posted in a while but I recently upgraded from a 650p to a 755p and I did a hotsync to transfer all my contacts and settings. It seemed to have worked fine as all my numbers are there however when I recieve and incoming call the number is displayed but the name shows unknown caller even when it is one of my stored contacts?? I have no problems with texts as it shows the name fine or if I am on the other line the contact name appears as normal. This is very annoying as I can not screen any of my calls! Can someone, anyone provide me with assistance with this please? let me know if more information is needed, and thanks in advance!

Just curious, when you upgraded to the 755, did you install the Palm Desktop that came on the installation CD, as it is different than the 650 one. You can install it right over the one on your PC and it keeps all of you calendar and contacts and stuff, but I think the conduits are different. If you haven't installed the new desktop app, perhaps you should do that and do a hard reset on the phone and then try a hotsync, only taking the calendar and contacts. You should then install any 3rd party apps one at a time making sure they are the most current version.

Well Here is what I did: I did one last hot sync with my 650 using the old palm software and did not delete it. then I installed the new software to my PC and then hotsynced my 755. The old hotsync manager is still installed but the last hotsync I did i made sure i used the new one. still the same problem. I even did a hard reset on my 755 and re did a hotsync and still the same problem. this is really frustrating becuase i must screen my calls and more so know who i am speaking to when i pick up!

Well I updated ringo and it works so far. My only one call of the day displaeyd the contact name fyi

Oh that makes sense, you didn't mention you were using a 3rd party ring program. Glad it worked out.
