Default Ringtones on mini SD how to use them as ringtone??

I have like 20 ringtones on my SD card, but i can only pull them up using ptunes. Is there a way I can pull them up not in Ptunes and maybe assign one to a ringtone??

The bad thing about MiniTones and the end result, the creation of all of those ring-tones is that they end up in main memory. My suggestion: get a ring-tone manager that works with MP3s, WAV, or whatever file format you like and go from there - the VAST majority of ring-tone managers allow you to use files stored on the SD card, creating indexes in main memory that require very little space as compared to the ring-tone files themselves.

Suggested applications: Call Block, RingCare (in beta), LightWav. I have licenses for both Call Block and RingCare and they both work well. I do have a reset issue with Call Block and TakePhone when TakePhone is enabled on my MRd Sprint Treo 700p - on other devices it does real well, giving you blocking abilities and ring-tone management with MP3 files for phone calls (not yet with WAV). RingCare gives only ring-tone management with phone calls and SMS using MP3 files. LightWav gives you the kitchen sink. All are very well supported.

I edit my MP3's to about 100-200k. I only use a few. If I ever need them removed, I can delete them from memory to free up space later.

Thanks for the extra info tho!

Yep, but a few short ones can eventually eat up a lot of memory. If you do have the time to play, look at one of the ring-tone management programs I have listed above. Also look at LightWav - it is at this time the all encompassing program.

With a large enough (4gig) MiniSD it doesn't matter how many you have, i've got enough space for a iPhone..haha..what a joke of a phone! (My opinion only, I have a 80 gig Video iPod, holds about 16,000 songs I have and I don't know how many pics! My purpose for my comment!)

That is true, though I was speaking of the device's main memory, not the card.
