saving files to device memory

is there a way to save anything into device memory? or computer guys is telling me to install stuff on our palms at work, i go to the url he provides. he says, the save destination should default to device, but it only ask me if i want to save it to the card. i click yes, and of course, since these phones don't have mmc/sd cards, it says there is no card inserted. if i click no, it takes me back to the download screen.

so i'm here asking you nice people, to see if maybe he missed some step.
