So I went to best buy and picked up the Palm leather case with the magnetic clasp and several people at work informed me and then certain individuals at Sprint also agreed with the statement that ''having a magnetic clasp could cause damage to your phone'' 1 person even said that it was the sole reason that their phone lost total reception. Well I personally refuse to believe that palm would make a product that causes damage to their products. So I put this out there hoping to get some feedback from everyone out here since most of you are much wiser than I thanx for all the help

I have one of these cases, that is not the reason that I stopped using it but I haven't had as many problems with my phone since I stopped using the case. I don't think that the magnet on the case is strong enough to make any difference but I suppose that it is possible.

I use a seido skin with a magnetic leather pouch for my 650 and now my 755p. No problems with either phone. I think this is like the popcorn cell phone thing on you tube. Hoax
