Screen icons?

I hope someone can help. I have the new 755 and cannot find information about two items in the manual. I am trying to figure out how to turn off the tracking function of the phone (the “crosshair”) function. Also, to the left of the “crosshair” I see two icons that I did not have on my 650. One is three triangles stacked on top of each other. The other is three small triangles pointing up and three more small ones pointing down? Any ideas?

those are the evdo high speed data icons

the treo 650 had 1x speed 755 has evdo high speed

The 755 should be similar to the 650 (though I know that they did upgrade the phone program).

On the 650, you cannot turn Location completely off. There are two settings Location On or 911 Only. 911 Only shows the cross hairs; Location On shows the cross hairs with radio waves emanating from the cross hairs.

To change the setting on the 650, in the Phone Program, go to the Phone Preferences from the Options pulldown. You can set it from there. I would assume the 755 would be very similar.
