I used a card reader when I had the 650, but after I went to the 755 with that minute miniSD card, I bought this progam, Card Reader, and it is so worth the money. I turns your treo into an external storage device, like a thumb drive; so when you plug in your treo to ANY computer, it opens up an explorer window and you can swap files back and forth between the Treo and the host computer. Do you have any third-party software that may be reassigning the button for you? Since it likes to open mail, maybe a third-party mail application like ChatterMail, SnapperMail, etc?
Maybe even a launcher app like zLauncher?

I am using sprint mobile mail, it seems the last time I did a hard reset, I checked the little box that says to use the side button... Suffice it to say, I'd been drinking all day, and if someone or something asks me a question, it's always yes...lol All fixed, thanx

having the same prob w/ my side button. I want it spash photo, but it turns itself back to email! Yes I thought the same idea.... lf it wants to be email let it and turn the envelope to something else, but when u use the envelope you can send and receive by holding down the envelope button... no so with side button... when you press side button and the mail comes up, you can not send and receive by holding it down ... bummer. so for now I have tried mapping side button to what u want and sync ing the phone. For some reason so far it has stayed... lasted longer than anything else ive tried so far. good luck T
