I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my 755. currently I have 32mb of 62mb free on my device and 3.4gb of 4gb free on my sd. but for some reason my treo is running extremley slow. most times when I go into or exit apps. I've made sure that I delete all files associated with any apps I didn't want ( destaller pro) so I'm not sure what's wrong...maybe I need a new treo (even though this one is just 30 days old)

Sounds to me like a hard reset is in order, and weed out the bad app, which is slowing things down.

if I do a hard reset but made a backup with resco, won't the bad data come back when I do a restore from resco? or were you suggesting I start from square one?

I'm thinking if you already have it backed up with your palm desktop, if you do a hardreset, and start to bring things back one at a time, you will be able to figure out which one is hanging things up.

When my treo runs slow a soft reset usually (always) gets it back to normal. Try that before the drastic hard reset....

Are these applications on the card or in main memory? Is there a specific application giving problems?

main memory. i think it may be the dtg that came with the 755. I don't know why if I upgrade that it still leaves the prior version on my treo. Other then that, it does take a while when I come out of chatter.

ChatterEmail has a setting to speed up its exiting - Preferences - Performance - then enable "Quick Exit (Treo 700P).

DTG upgrading leaves the old version in the device as the application is in ROM.
