    Exclamation Somebody Please Help!! Treo755P

Hello, My name is anthony , I joined this site because I believe there must be someone out there that has a solution for me. I have a Palm treo 755P, I have not backed up my data in about 6 months, and I have an issue with the phone not completely powering up. It seems to want to power up for about 5 seconds and then it turns off and then it tries again. I have sooooo much information, data, contacts, and photos that I do not want to lose!!! I noticed earlier today I had an error type message saying somthing like " Low memory, remove some date to get more space" or something like that, I think It might have been an e-mail I received that had a big file, I accidentally saved it to "Phone" instead to "card" and might be the reason I ran low on memory. I went to 2 sprint stores and they automatically said do a hard reset.. aghhhh, I didn't want to and don't want to until I exhaust all options. I hope that anyone with any good advice will help me! Thanks again.

Hi Anthony, welcome. If you can't power on the phone you can't do a hotsync. I take it you have no backup program on the phone that you save backups on a card? Have you tried to hook it up to your computer and do a hotsync?? The phones usually will not power on if they are critically low in memory. The error message is requesting that you remove some DATA to free up memory.

You have to be able to power on the phone to delete that email. This is a very hard nut to swallow, I know. But if you can't power on to delete the email or do a hotsync, you may be forced to do a hard reset.

Then immediately get a backup program for your phone where you store the backups to your card. Good luck.

Hi, I'm sorry that it came to that. I saw your post on the other forum where someone suggested booting into safe mode and deleting your large file that way. I guess you didn't have FileZ installed? That is a free program and very well worth having, as it allows you to view and manipulate the files on the phone and the card.

The backup program is pretty essential, there are free ones out there that I hear are good. I use Resco Backup, which is a paid app. Good luck to you.
