    Default Songs to Ringtones

Can someone tell me the easiest way to get songs from computer to a ringtone on the 755? I have done many things to get a ringtone on the phone, like upload from a site, etc, but nothing seems to work. Another thing I might ask you gurus is how to take a song and clip portions to make into a ringtone! thanks for all your help in advance!

I get my ringtones for free from mobile9.com, I sometimes go on my home computer, download them, then put them on my mini SD. But sometimes I goto mobile9.com on my cell and download rings right over the air.

I dislike using memory unless the need is there and ringtones in main memory take lots of memory. A ringtone management application may be what you should look at. CallBlock works well, as does LightWav and a few other animals out there. The benefit from the above applications is the file stays on the card, not in your memory and the candy color never changes. Many applications let you use WAV, MP3 and other formats.

If you are stuck with MP3s, then Switch does pretty good.

On Mobile9.com, do you have to log in, as in need a username and password, and have you used the wallpapers for backgrounds? I am having problems downloading them and using them in the Treo, maybe I need to use a specific like 240X180 etc..thanks for your help!

When I try downloading directly, it recognizes as a song, not a ringtone, is there an easier way to do this? Thanks
