As yet I don't know of any people getting the 755P as a replacement phone through Assurion. I do know of customers getting either the 700p or the 700wx. As the 755 becomes available through refurbs you may see people getting upgraded to the 755p. Hopefully by the time that happens there will be palm desktop software available at palm.com that will make syncing easier as the 755p is not compatible with the current versions of palm desktop.

they definitely give you what they have in stock. I placed an insurance claim about 3 weeks ago (my 650 burned up....I don't know how it happened), but the insurance replaced it with another 650. Which I turned around and lost 1 week later.

I also posted about this in the Sprint forum... My 650 was experiencing data stalls, where if I didn't use data for an hour or two, I couldn't connect. The only fix was to power cycle the radio. I took it in to my local Sprint store, and after 1 1/2 hours on the phone with tech support, I was told I needed a full diagnostic at the nearest repair center, over an hour away.
I called Customer Service the next day to complain, but they wouldn't budge, and Retentions was no help, so I took the hit on my TEP plan and got a refurb 650. I think Assurion has plenty of them.

My wife had a treo 600 up to 2 weeks ago. She lost it and called the insurance. They sent her a brand new 755p. The day after she lost her 600 I dropped my 650 and it broke. After the guys at the Sprint store looked at it for about 30-40 minutes they replaced it with a 755p. Now we both have the latest treo.

Looks like I lucked out as well. The replacement I got from Assurion had a bad headphone jack. They replaced it with a 755P.

I lost my 755 on the subway last week one night out drinking with friends. They gave me the same phone as a replacement

It is all about luck and perfect timing. I had my 650 which was acting up replaced by a refurbed 755p that also was acting up and got a brand new 755p.

I had a Motorola Q and after having ALOT of problems and going through 4 Q's I called Sprint and let them know that I was not very happy with the Q anymore and I told them that I wanted a Treo 755p because I refused to get another Q. I got it in the mail 3 days later...they upgraded me for free. You just have to stand your ground with them or they'll run all over you.

I did too Ive had the 700p for about a year and it constantly froze up and a couple of days ago it kept power cycling and would not stop. So I said screw it and called for replacement. The rep said that they didnt have any 700p's and said they were sending me the 755p. I acted like i didnt know what it was. She even let me pick the color!!! Burgandy of course... She did say it would be new and that since it was the burgandy oneit could possibly take six days...GREAT Later I performed a Hard reset didnt know it was going to erase my contacts thought only 3rd apps... needless to say my boss was pissed because I did not know his # by hard. Wish I found this site earlier maybe there was something I could do. But the 700p is wrking fine now just no apps or #'s
