They must have thought you already had a 755. You can download software at palmone.com. The chargers are the same as well as the hotsync cable.
you got it made. How did you get them to upgrade your phone?

I told them the place where you plug the charger in had a crack in it and as a result, the phone wouldn't fully charge. They said "OK" and 5 days later (yesterday), I received the 755 in the mail

They will give you the closest model, going up the line. They ALWAYS keep you in the same model if available, if not they go one step up. Whining in a service center won't get you an upgraded model - so don't even bother. Calling customer care might work on occasion, but they'll usually let you "upgrade" and sign a new 2 year agreement.

I had a treo 600 for about 1 1/2 years and loved it, never had a problem with it except for the screen resolution well i lost it and called it in to my insurance , Assurion, and they sent me a brand new blue 755p they said it was all they had to replace it with. I couldn't have been happier
