Need Help Sync not working Email and Contacts only

I've been working with Sprint Support for 2 hours. No luck. Here's what's happening:
A week ago, Sync of Contacts and Email stopped working. Other applications are sync-ing ok. (Memos, Tasks, Supra E-Key, etc.)

Right click on HotSync icon and select CUSTOM: Shows all apps set to Sync. If I make any changes to this list (for example: Handheld overwrites Desktop, or No Sync, etc.) and run a sync - the sync completes, and the menu is reset back to the way it was (all apps set to Sync again.)

It seems that the preferences for the CUSTOM list keep overwriting on each sync, and I can't keep any changes to this list.

The log shows the Memos, Tasks sync-ing, and nothing for the Outlook Email and Address Book.

We had another problem that we did resolve, similar to a few posts here -- Accessing email caused the Treo to reset. We reinstalled it - and it works fine now.

When you select what you want the conduit to do or you make your change there should be a box to check to make that a default. If you do not check it the sync reverts back to the previous setting. do you sync to outlook or palm desktop? Also are you syncing with the same user name that you are making the changes on. I do not use palm desktop so I am guessing it is like the old 650. Hope one of these suggestions work for you.

Back up UR PIM data, and whatever u want to save through Rscbackup and keep it safe on card. Hart reset ur device, once done, insert memory card and restore PIM data with out any name on device, hotsync will let u choose from old devices or make new device.

Make new device, and SYnc it.

Once done go back to ur previous named device and delete all comtacts, and copy paste new contacts from new deivce to old device using Palm Desktop.

and again hard reset it, and hotsync once done, this time choose ur permanent name from devices, and done .

Lil confusing i know. if u didnt got it let me know, will try to make it lil simple.

    Thanks.

Ok i am not the smartest when it comes to this Treo so when you talk about PIM Data etc that doesn't mean much to me and the RSCbackup stuff as well. So maybe if you can put it into more of a dumb ass approach i might be able to figure it out.

    thanks

PIM (personal information manager) data is your basic PDA stuff: contacts, calendar, to-do list, memos. I suppose Rscbackup refers to Resco Backup, which is a popular backup software for PalmOS.
