text message cause phone to reset

I am currently experiencing problems with my text messages on my treo 755p. My phone reset's itself when i either try to delete or reply to an incoming text message. I have performed a soft an a hard reset a dozen times and nothing's worked.

Has anyone had this problem? if so, how can i fix it? i called Sprint tech support and they tell me that i have a file that is corrupt in my software and need to run a diagnostic at the sprint store... any suggestions???

Diagnostic? Well, the database is probably corrupt. You have the option of deleting it then executing a soft reset and check it again or try an application like DBfixit - it is designed to work with the PIM and similar files.

thanks, ben, i actually figured it myself. i deleted the message database and re-loaded the database from and old pc that i haven't synched since 06/07. it gave me a bunch of old text messages but it's what i needed and it fixed the problem.
