Text Message Reminder?

Is there any way to have my phone set so that if i don't read a text message the phone will vibrate or chime again periodically. I had this option on my old phone that was far less advanced.

i have verizon service if that makes a difference

you could install and use the program Butler, which nags you about a few things, unread text messages is one
