Is that right? | No Plunker, the arrows we are speaking of will be just above your carrier signal symbol and when you are using the data stream these arrows will appear above that signal strength symbol. If I am not actively downloading anything (not on Blazer or using ChatterEmail or something) those arrows are light grey, but if I have ChatterEmail check my mail or use Blazer to go onto a website, those arrows turn to green.

| Hi All:
FWIW....here is what the Sprint 650 manual has to say about the little green/gray arrows and mine does seem to follow what the manual describes: "Appears with gray arrows when your device is on and connected to the
Sprint PCS Vision network. You can still receive calls. Appears with green
arrows when your device is connected to the Sprint PCS Vision network
and a data session is active (for example, when you are browsing the
Web). You cannot receive calls."

SteveTaz | Steve, thanks. This is exactly what my 650 does do; if I have a PCS Vision connection the arrows are grey, and I can still use my phone. But if I try to download something, or use ChatterEmail or my 4Cast weather program and they are making a data stream connection, the arrows turn green and I cannot get a phone call. Only one thing can use the data/phone connection at a time.

| And to continue the excitement, here is what the 700p manual says about gray green AND BLUE arrows, up and down and sideways too!!!!!! Your phone is on and is connected to the Sprint PCS Vision or NationalAccess (1xRTT) data network. When the arrows are green, data is being transferred (for example, when you are opening a Web page) and you cannot receive calls. When the arrows are gray, you are connected to the network but data is not currently being transferred (for example, when you are viewing a Web page that is completely open), and you can receive calls. or Your phone is on and is connected to the high-speed Sprint Power Vision or Verizon BroadbandAccess (EvDO) data network. When the triangles are blue, data is being transferred (for example, when you are opening a Web page); when the triangles are gray, you are connected to the network but data is not currently being transferred (for example, when you are viewing a Web page that is completely open). In either state, you can receive incoming calls.

okay, so on 650's and below the arrows are grey and green going side to side(PCS Vision non-Power network) and on the 700's and above the arrows are grey and blue going up and down (on the PCS Vision Power network) Well, I am waiting for the delivery of my new 755p and will report on what color arrows and the directions, etc etc.

| Please advise r.e. upgrade from 650 to 755p + unlocked?? I have an unlocked 650 which I am using overseas quite nicely but I think the rough usage is making it breathe its last breath.
The 755p looks like the way to go, but I MUST be able to get one that is unlocked (Cing / ATT gave me the unlock for the 650 when I paid full price for the phone).
Gotta be the "p" because I definitely do not want to go with anything Windows related.
Verizon seems to be the only GSM version of the 755p - is that correct?
Does anyone have an UNLOCKED Verizon 755p, and if so how hard was it to unlock?
Anyone know where I can BUY a 755p Unlocked?
Lastly - I am seeing mysterious vendors on various forums (not this one) who give a huge list of "unlocked phones" including the 755p, but they do not appear to have a website. Looks like a scam - anyone ever actually successfully buy from a company like that?
Thanks all for your time. |

| I switched from the 650 to the 755p and am very happy with it. Much faster web browsing - at least twice as fast (I'm on Verizon). |
