Thanks, stillrockin. Unfortuntately, the 680 is Cingular and I'm with Sprint (i'm getting too good of a deal to switch). Maybe we'll get lucky and the 755p will have the 680's bluetooth. Would be nice.

Treo 755 (I got the word from the horses mouth)
My Cousin works for PALM (Marketing) and he told me yesturday that sprint is getting the new 755 first.. He told me in his own words that IT WILL FEATURE WINDOW MOBILE 6 AND IT WILL BE A REV A PHONE. He did tell me that the Treo 755 with WM6 will not come out until the 750 from cingular comes out with WM6 first.. (Guess Cingular worked out a drug deal with palm) I didnt ask him if there is going to be a palm os version( I couldnt really care less) but being a longtime treo owner I'm sure there will be..Thats all he could tell me.. I'm trying to seduce him with a case of beer to get more information.. Ill keep you all posted

Any updates on the 755? I am about to return to the states and want to get a 700p, but if the 755 is going to come out in a month or so I may just wait for its arrival (I'm a Sprint customer). Anyhow, I will call sprint when I get back. I also have a few emails out to some ebay merchants to see if they will be selling it. I will let everyone know what I find out.

The latest rumor has it releasing on May 14th. Of course, this is still unconfirmed.

Don't hold your breath. Palm has a history of waiting until the last minute to announce products.

Confirmatio on the treo 755
I spoke with a sprint rep in the store and he confirmed to me that I need to wait for the month of April and I can trade the old 700wx and see what the 755 is worth.

From what I'm seeing, outside of the form factor, the new feature will be native voice dialing. It will also come with IM included. I love the form factor and found the build quality of the Treo 750 to be superb, but not so sure that's enough to get most people excited.
Where is the rumored "secret" device that Jeff Hawkins is supposedly working on? Engadgetmobile posted a story about a rumored "ultra-thin" Palm device with WiMax support. They even put a major asterisk next to the story suggesting it was nothing more than pure conjecture, than a valid tipster.

Yeah I heard the same thing, somewhere around the middle of april.. Ill wait to see how many different bugs Sprint has to fix before rushing and trading mine. LOL

GSM version???
Will it show up as a GSM phone also? or only CDMA?
I also curious, will we have Palm OS phone with 3G capability? i prefer Palm OS but I also need 3G connection.

In the past, the Treo's have found their way to all of the carriers, but not at the same time. It all depends on the deal Palm cuts with the various carriers.
I think a 3G Treo 755 will eventually find it's way to Cingular.

Jeff Hawkins seems to be focusing on making "Hierarchical Temporal Memory" a reality rather than working on a "secret" Palm-based device. His new company Numenta Technology seems to be working on a new computing paradigm rather than a new smartphone. :foot:
