System Tools or Repair Treo 755p freezes trying to access address book etc

Please help, I just bought this phone, I had a 650 (sprint) and I was transferring the data and the sync quit. Now every time I try to access my address book (which did not sync) or almost any function the phone restarts and displays the PALM sign. I do not know what to do.
    Can anyone help?

There is an application called DBFixit from http://pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm that might be of interest to you.

I believe you need to try a soft reset. If that doesn't work, pray that you hotsynched recently and do a hard reset.
    Treo 755p, Sprint Network
Favorite apps: SplashShopper, VersaMail (works just fine if you know to use Sprint's SMTP server), Sharklinks.
Apps that never worked for me: Graffiti Anywhere, Metro.
    I can't stand the built-in contacts program.
I have no wireless headset yet. I have a 2 GB SD card and it's plenty.

    Default Treo 755p freezes

I tried the soft reset and it worked, the phone book came back up and now when I try to sync to get my photos back, there's a moment in the sync that says that is in the phase of phone update and it stays there for a while and then it quits and the same thing happens again. I erase some programs that I had in my phone and I tried to erase them in my computer but they keep being installed again, I might have some problems inside the Palm Desktop hot sync and files, do you suggest something to do. I could return the phone again but I think that it's not the phone:angry:
I had my old phone reconnected while I deal with this issue.

    Thanks!

Have you tried the application I linked to? A soft reset will not cure this - something is causing the interruption and the application I linked to handles most situations similar to what you described. It is installed to and runs on the Treo, not our Mac.

I would have tried it first and seen what messages it displays and then gone from there - the messages would indicate a problem.
