Unusal screen problem with 755p

I have a 755p, no longer used as phone and just used for games, and some applications by my wife. Recently, the bottom left corner of the screen has become non responsive. Not all the time, but most of the time. The area of problem is approximately 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.

I will try to explain the particulars. It is responsive when launching a application in that location.

Any stylus contact with the screen and stylus, started elsewhere and moved to that area without breaking contact with the screen seems OK. Any initial contact with the stylus into that area is non responsive. (For example, a game that you move items with the stylus. If move started elsewhere on screen and moved to that area, works ok. If move started in that bottom left corner, screen is non responsive to the stylus.)

I have deleted the questionable applications and re-installed again via Palm Desktop. All the applications are legitimate and purchased by me so trial versions etc are not an issue. Problem occurs both with and without screen protector.
