    Default Updating Databases

    Whenever I press one of the four icon buttons,the screen says "updating databases". I a tried soft reset and that did nothing. What can I do to stop this?

    Does it indicate what databases are being updated? What third party software do you have.

    If you have a backup plan, you can do a backup to the desktop or preferably with a device based backup utility to the card (Resco Backup & NVBackup are real good).

    After doing a backup, execute a hard reset and run it with no extras for a while and see what happens.

    Thank,man. I figured out it was my Voice Control. I guess after the trial, It started trying to update databases whenever an icon button was pressed. I removed the program and I have not had the problem all day.

    Yep, there are a couple of them I have come across that like to update their index files when the contacts database gets updated - really speeds their operation up, though it takes a bit of time.
