    Default Upgrading from Treo 650

Has anyone who is an old Sprint customer upgraded yet to the 755p? What's your experience been?
I just spent a very frustrating 30 minutes on the phone with a couple of customer service people who didn't really know anything about the phone, but they also were not able to offer me a decent deal on the phone.
Guess I'll be waiting a bit to upgrade to my new 755p...... :frown:

What kind of concerns do you have?

I plan on doing a similar upgrade in the near future (As soon as there is a 750p/755p phone or better on Cingular -- I use Verizon now with my 650).

I am not concerned at all about the upgrade, though I know it will be time consuming.

My plan is to install the new palm software that comes with the new phone, then create a new palm user for the new phone. Then I will manually (not sure how yet -- but I am not concerned) copy all of my contact and applications to the new phone.

Go to the phone screen by pressing the green phone button
Press the menu button above the mail button
choose "General Preferences" from the "options" pulldown menu
Change the "Show Dial Pad [default] option" to wallpaper..
You will know what to do from there..

Thanks... I'm not really concerned about the actual switching over to the new Treo... I'm kind-of unhappy with the price deal they offered me as a long-time customer with three lines!
What have you guys gotten (as current/old Sprint customers) for pricing?

I'm seriously considering the upgrade, but as I mentioned in another 755p thread, Sprint's not offered me much of a deal to upgrade from the 650 to the 755p. I've only had my 650 for just over a year, and I've only asked once. Maybe after another phone call or two, I can see what kind of deal they can give me.

Just make sure to really lay into them about how you're going to leave and they usually add a little extra. I however went with sprint on a plan you can only get if you're new. I have the 650 now and I'll be upgrading to the 755 I think. 279 is pretty steep for me but I'm getting 1250 mins, unlimited text and data usage for 50 so I don't think I'll complain.
